The Inception Company - Internal ERP System

Overview

The Inception company, a Fortune 500 enterprise, manages its clients, vendors, and operations through an internal ERP system. This project is a three-tier dashboard application designed for: Super Admin & Owner -> Customers -> Customer's Clients with bulk functionalities. Each customer has its own clients, projects, event groups, events, and registrants, with a well-defined hierarchy and role-based access control. The system features multi-level inheritance with various entity types and relationships. Additionally, the ERP allows users to design and launch event group websites, where registrants can sign up for events. The system provides seamless redirection from the ERP to custom-designed event websites. A separate AV Portal is also integrated, enabling clients and customers to order equipment, connect with vendors, and manage transactions efficiently.

My Responsibilities

• Worked as a Full Stack Engineer, contributing to architectural decisions, business logic, system design, API development, and integrations.
• Developed and managed three frontend applications using React.js and Next.js.
• Designed the dashboard UI with Material-UI, implementing a highly reusable component strategy.
• Structured the UI and backend architecture into isolated modules based on ERP business logic.
• Participated in daily standup meetings for feedback and progress updates.
• Conducted pull request (PR) reviews to ensure code quality.
• Deployed applications on company machines and cloud environments.
• Wrote scripts to migrate company's old data to the new platform.

Challenges & Solutions

Managing the complex hierarchy and relationships between different entities while ensuring proper access control and data isolation between customers was a significant challenge. Additionally, integrating the various components (ERP, event websites, AV Portal) required careful planning and implementation.

Outcome

This was a highly complex internal management system, ensuring efficient operations and seamless user experiences for Inception and its stakeholders.
