Overview

This project involved developing an OCR system that extracts content from different type of invoices, and calculate meaning full data using AI technologies and machine learning on backend.

My Responsibilities

• Developed the entire UI using Next.js.
• Implemented all business logic on the frontend.
• Managed and processed data received from the backend, which lacked a consistent structure, and displayed it in CSV or JSON format.
• Integrated AWS Cognito and Amplify for various authentication methods.
• Utilized different packages for JSON formatting and CSV preview/transformation.
• Styled the UI using Tailwind CSS and its libraries.
• Implemented WebSockets to display real-time progress for each file on the frontend.
• Performed extensive file validation to handle errors effectively.

Challenges & Solutions

Managing and processing data received from the backend, which lacked a consistent structure, and displaying it in CSV or JSON format was a significant challenge. Additionally, implementing real-time progress tracking for file processing required careful integration of WebSockets.

Outcome

The system successfully extracts and processes invoice data, providing meaningful insights and calculations through AI technologies.
